Meet Rogan

Rogan is a happy, handsome Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and certified therapy dog. He has worked in the therapy field since he was 3 years old visiting people of all ages in hospitals, therapy settings, and assisted living facilities. His career began once he passed his therapy dog training and certification testing in 2016.

Rogan is certified and insured with the Alliance of Therapy Dogs. To belong to the Alliance of Therapy Dogs, all dogs must be tested and pass an extensive certification process. This means the dogs must pass a series of tests including a temperament evaluation; ability to be around service equipment and loud noises; as well as their skills at simple commands. Therapy dogs must be mild-mannered, gentle, and enjoy human contact. With this definition, Rogan was destined to be a therapy dog!

This pup loves coming to “work” and providing emotional support to anyone he meets. Some of Rogan’s favorite therapy experiences is snuggling up with his friends at Children’s Hospital downtown or on laps during therapy sessions. He also loves showing off his tricks, going for walks, and simply being around people.

Hobbies

When Rogan is not in the office, you can find him either camping up north with his parents or relaxing at home as an all-star napper. He loves to swim in Lake Michigan, eat twigs by the campfire, and go for long hikes in the woods. In addition to his rustic side, Rogan also loves to chew on bones bigger than him, snoop the perimeter of the room he is in, and shred Kleenex from a garbage can. And, like most of us, he does enjoy quality time at the local spa for a fresh trim.
